✨ I GO! |This Week, A NoNewsLetter – Just Dance Floor Transcendence and Midlife Sandwich Chic

"This is my church. This is where I heal my hurts. It's in the world I've become, contained in the hum between voice and drum."
— Faithless, “God Is a DJ”

This week, I woke up the morning after attending the Soho House Festival - which always marks the start of the winding-down summer season - feeling a bit worse for wear and completely covered in glitter. When my daughter Josephine saw me, she burst out laughing and quipped that I looked like a human disco ball.

She may just be 10, she is always on point - and it made me think that maybe that’s exactly what I am these days: a living, spinning paradox of light and exhaustion, trying to reflect joy and energy from all directions on and off stage, while holding together family, work, travels, hormones, deadlines, parties, duties, losses, wins and dreams.

So this week’s “NO-letter” is a hug and a love note to everyone dancing under the disco ball of adulthood—kids, careers, mortgages, taxes, and all.

Last month was indeed a marathon of stages, voices, magnetic places, high stakes, too many air miles, not enough sleep—and sooo much jet lag: London, Versailles, Nice, Delhi, Lucknow, Chennai, Bangalore, London, Tokyo, Osaka, London, Paris, London...

Unforgettable moments and deep conversations. I loved every minute of it.

But now?

I just want to live (and give) a little, after throwing everything I had at June.

Because I’m cooked. Baked. Soaked. Rinsed.

So this week, I surrendered to the soothing power of dance, good people, and late nights.

I GO! will be back next week with all the rhythm you know. Until then: Respect. Love. Compassion. And, as always, a little sparkle…✨
